Different shades of poplar were glued up to form the boards used to make this bedside shelf,. The glue joints are perfect and it's just the right size to accommodate a hardback book inside with a mug of tea on top. The lamp base was lathed from a chunk of spalted maple. The globe was found in an abandoned electrical warehouse, circa 1940.
