The Brosnan side of the family is Catholic. Tom Sr. emigrated to this country from Ireland in the 1930s. Lourdes was Spanish. They met and married in Carmel, California where they raised Tom, Jr. and his brother, Dan. Tom Sr. supplemented his groundskeeper's salary by playing poker. He had a glass eye.
Tim Brosnan, 1962		 The Guess side of the family is Southern Baptist. Jerome was a plumber and Mary was a distant relative of actor Robert Mitchum. He was a Mason and she was a member of the Eastern Star. They met and married in Sumter, SC, where they raised Corinna, their only child.
